On the 27th July 2021 we will be discontinuing support for TLS versions 1.0, 1.1 and HTTP across all of our products and regions.
What does this mean?
For the large majority of users nothing will change, however, for users with older browsers (IE 8-10, Chrome 4-28, Firefox 2-26, Opera 10-15, Safari 3.1-6.1) the service will stop responding.
For customers with custom integrations that use either HTTP or TLS 1.0/1.1 the service will stop responding.
Organisations using bksbLIVE 2 that have enabled HTTP will have their force HTTPS toggle permanently enabled by bksb within their platform.
Will I be affected?
If you are using any of the following browser versions you will be affected by the changes:
- Internet Explorer 8 to 10
- Google Chrome 4 to 28
- Firefox 2 to 26
- Opera 10 to 15
- Safari 3.1 to 6.1
Furthermore, those with custom built integrations will need to check that the libraries in use support TLS 1.2 at a minimum.
bksb will be reaching out to the primary contacts of organisations that connect to our services over HTTP or use TLS 1.0/1.1 to notify them of the required changes.
What do I need to do?
For users of a bksb platform through a browser: Ensure that you are using the most up to date version of your browser, in the event that your browser can't automatically update, you can use the following links to install the latest version:
- Google Chrome: https://www.google.com/chrome/
- Firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/new/
- Opera: https://www.opera.com/download
- Internet Explorer: Please contact your organisations IT Department and point them to this page.
- Safari: Please contact your organisations IT Department and point them to this page.
For integrations with a bksb API: Ensure that any libraries used to make HTTP requests by your integration are up to date, furthermore, ensure that any connections are made over HTTPS.
