The Email Reputation Dashboard is available to users with tutor permissions, they're able to monitor the emails address on the site and the state if any issues arise. This page will show the of emails sent (in the last 5 days) along with the number of emails that have bounced the last 5 days).
Users who are administrators on their site are also able to remove emails that have bounced, in case those emails are valid but are not yet created on their mail server.
To access this page, select Admin Options from the menu on the left-hand side then select Email Reputation.
Total Emails Sent
This is the number of emails that your organisation has sent in the past 5 days.
This is the number of emails that have bounced from the emails your organisation has sent. The higher this is, the more likely your organisation will have emails blocked.
This is your organisation's bounce rate. If this is greater than 10%, all staff on your system will receive a message at the top of their screen alerting them.
If it is greater than 25%, your organisation will be marked as restricted and no emails will be able to be sent from the site until this percentage is reduced below 25%. (This will last for a maximum of 5 days as this is the time frame we work within.)
This is where all the bounced emails for your organisation will appear. From here, you can view the bounce error message and when the email bounced.
You are able to remove the bounce by selected ‘More Info’ and then selecting ‘Remove’ from the dialog box. There is also a ‘Remove all’ button to remove all emails that have bounced so you are able to try again. It is recommended that you first make sure that all the emails won’t bounce again as if they do, you will not be able to ‘Remove’ again without speaking to a member of the bksb team.
If your bounce rate exceeds 25% and you have sent more than 100 emails, your organisation will be marked as restricted. This will mean that your organisation will not be able to send emails from the system as too many emails have bounced.
To start sending emails again, you will need to wait at the most 5 days (as this is the time frame we monitor) or contact us to look into why your emails are bouncing.
These are the only ways your restriction can be removed.
