Sometimes users can run into issues if you're trying to install the Databridge MSI without the correct permissions. To get around this, you can run the MSI as an administrator through the CMD/Powershell. Running it as admin will still give you the issue of it saying that it doesn't have the sufficient privileges.
Try the steps below to run the installer as an administrator:
CMD:
- Open cmd.exe as an administrator.
- Navigate to the location of the Databridge install MSI.
- Enter the following command into the CMD window:
- "msiexec -a bksb-databridge.msi"
- Note: If you have renamed the MSI file, you will also need to change the name of the file in the msiexec command.
- "msiexec -a bksb-databridge.msi"
Powershell:
- The first thing you will want to do is search for Powershell on your. Once the icon appears, you will want to right click Powershell, and then choose to run as administrator (if you open Powershell by just clicking on it, the solution will not work, it has to be ran as admin).
- You will want to type the following command into Powershell: cd "C:\Users\example\Desktop\databridge installer and guide\databridge installer and guide./databridgeinstaller.msi". If this works, the bksb databridge setup wizard will appear (as seen in the screenshot below). Make sure that the command you type in command prompt is the location on your computer where the bksb-databridge.msi file is saved.
- If the command is written correctly, the bksb databridge will install on your computer automatically once you click on the next button on the setup wizard.
This should then launch the Databridge Setup wizard which will then allow you to install the Databridge.
